    “I approached Max having been cast in the London Debut of 'The Moors' by Jen Silverman. The character was a dog in human form and I couldn't think of anyone better to help me with this than Max, who was my teacher at Drama School. We workshopped different triggers to get into the character such as shifting weight and then played around connecting physicality with emotion and feeling. I would definitely recommend Max to anyone looking to explore animal studies or just using it as an approach to acting.”

  • Working with Max on the process of "rewilding the mind" has been an incredibly transformative and creative experience. Our time together was very brief, but I still accessed parts of character that I wouldn't have accessed, had I gone the traditional route. His work enables you to let go of rigid, conventional ways of approaching building a character through free and abstract thought; a system which I feel lacks in many traditional drama school settings. Would highly recommend anyone feeling "stuck" or a bit held back by those long-established, formal methods.
